Thread: An Analysis of Danielle Rousseau

Quick question before this gets moved. I wanted to continue discussing Rousseau and the possibility that the killing of her crew was a hallucination by Smokey. Is there a thread about Rousseau in theories or are all strictly character-based threads going to the individual character threads? Thanks!

It seems to me that the series tends to hide Danielle an awful lot... as if she knows much, and can't be questioned at this time by our Losties. I mean even with her strange babblings, someone is bound to get some info out of her.

great thread truff ! I dont think the idea she was in on a plan with ben is a stretch though. it seems very plausible. and I agree Danielle may have been part of Dharma.. so who were the others ? maybe they were the outside interferance that made the system go haywire, generating some form of incident from the system decohering. I did take sayids recent "its a closed system" as a hint toward my own idea of an isolated...

Do the Others then need the radio tower? Why don't they just destroy it? Or am I mixing up radio tower ownership? I really like the concept of Rousseau being manipulated to do the Others' killing so that the Others can remain pure and noble. Rousseau, perhaps while she believe her daughter was still alive, could not be manipulated into suicide? She did urge Kate a little to shoot her, but Kate kills most people by accident or by...
