I hate it too, and to make it worse people let off fireworks for the sake of it. Even during the day.

Welcome back Spegali! Its refeshing to have you here! My thoughts exactly! i just don't get 'Halloween'...it may be harmless fun if the children enjoy 'trick or treating' as a cultural tradition but i don't get the symbolism at all...November 1, being All Saints' Day & November 2, being All Souls' Day. Halloween was just a very minor event until some years ago, when big business realised that they could make millions by selling all the usual rubbish. I can't understand why parents buy the stuff at such ridiculous prices and encourage their kids to take part. I suppose some folks will always follow 'fashion'.

Hate it as well. I do like the idea of people going out, with children if they have them, and meeting their neighbours. But halloween, awful.

why people wish to allow their children to knock on the doors of people who could be paedophiles, is beyond me, it's not even a british custom, one cats sitting in the tumble drier looking fed up, as this is his war room, the others in a bean bag, looking totally remedial, the ferret's, totally stroppy due to the noise, and would love to anoint the little cretin's, with his laughing gear, in all everyone's...
