Started 1 month, 3 weeks ago by DanteTheLegend
Anyone know any good ways to put posters on the wall ? i have some that i really like and havent put em up yet because i know if i use tape (any kind) it usually rips the poster when i take it off no matter how careful i am with em.

I've got some Bob Marley/Grindhouse/PulpFiction posters hanging in my room. I bought some poster frames from wal-mart that are just simple cardboard backing with a clear plexi front, and some black pinch-edgings. They're really nice and look great. Only real problem is they're about 10$ each.

Scotch Removable Adhesive Putty Works like a champ.

I use thumbtacks... Works great, and yeah It puts little holes in the corners, But I'll take that over the $10 frames. But I mean, if I could afford it I'd go with the frames... Makes them look really nice.

I don't much like the putty. You can get adhesive tabs made for posters and the like, though. They're a little more expensive than the putties but much better quality.

Use blue-tack... or white-tack I think I saw over there. If you press it on really hard and it stays there for a while (like a poster would), it can damage crappier paint. Just don't press it on too hard.

I've still think thumbtacks are the best way to go, as long as you dont care that once you take them down there will be some small holes in your wall. But if its an apartment, most the time they re-paint ...

But if its an apartment, most the time they re-paint before the next person moves in anyway.
