Ok i know i will probably get flamed but thats why i'm posting in the newb section. I currently am running a radius arm setup with bronco coils on my nissan frontier and really want to go to a 3 link but i just can't justify spending a ton of money on coilovers when air shocks look like a good option. I only live 3.5 miles from my work so this truck doesn't see speeds over 45 very often. I plan ...

Not to be a dick but do you (PwrWagons4ever) even know what i'm talking about? I'm not talking about using that old school crap that people use to use to increase load capacity, the air shocks i'm talking about use nitrogen as a spring they are what hold the truck up.... google fox air shocks and you will see what i'm talking about. Now does anybody else have any opinions on this. And thanks for ...
Body roll will be an issue. If there is ever any problem with the air shock you will be left high and dry and not able to get to work. My vote is spend the money and get coil overs. When (if ) i do my link swap it will have coil overs for sure, cheap insurance when your 100mi from town and poundin the crap out of your rig.
i agree with weeman, body roll will for sure be a problem, even with sway bars in the front and rear, we've driven some buggies on the street with air shocks on them and its a fun ride, but you wouldnt want it is a daily driver. personally i'd look into ballistic fabs new hybrid shock, get the best of both worlds between a coilover and an air shock.

Tuning them isn't a big deal. A good friend of mine has a nitrogen setup for doing shocks and he has a bunch of different shock oil's so tuning would just cost me beer.

im too scared to run air shocks on the front of my truck... im goin to run coilovers... but what do yall think about runnin airshocks on the rear? i figure the truck will weigh around 4k and im gonna want to drive it on the road some like to close trails or to town on the weekends other than that it will be a east coast type rig. coilover 3 link front ?4 link airshock rear? im worried bout load capacity and durability oh and sorry bout the...
A friend of mine went from coil overs to air shocks, he hates the air shocks and is going back to coil overs. Why not get some lift springs until you can get coil overs?
you should look into f-o-a shocks if you get 2" bodys with out resis they are just about the same price as air shocks heres a picture of mine they were under 1000$ for the shocks and springs and everything and they are 2.5 inch bodys with resisand 18" travel www.f-o-a.com
