Thread: After everything, bizarre CT scan....anyone?

Okay, so Patrick had a L-RPLND July 14, and finished 2xBEP the first week of October. He had his baseline CT and xray done on October 14. His onco JUST called on Friday (Nov 6) to say that there was "something wrong" on his CT, and his x ray was clear. She stated that she did not think that it appeared malignant, but that she really didn't know what was going on, but that she was not concerned...

I have no experience with anything you have said. However, to me it is screaming out SECOND OPINION. The delay, conflicting information, and the fact she is unsure lead me to that conclusion, for what its worth. Get another opinion on the test results and progress.

Kat, I have to agree with UT-TC on the second opinion, especially after reading back over your posts and adventures so far. At the very least, get to M.D. Anderson in Houston, but preferably Dr. Einhorn at IU. Like you, it drives me crazy when the talk doesn't add up and there is no plan. Sure, see what the surgeon says, but IU is where they've seen it all. Best wishes, Paul

Oh, I assure you all, we'll get second and third and fifteenth opinions, if necessary. I was just wondering if anyone had ever even heard of something like this, so that I'm better prepared with my questions. We already have an appointment with the urologist-surgeon-guy a week from Monday, and he has a series of partners who have provided us with their expertise, as well. I am fairly confident...

Oh, I assure you all, we'll get second and third and fifteenth opinions, if necessary. I was just wondering if anyone had ever even heard of something like this, so that I'm better prepared with my questions. Kat, I have to agree with UT-TC on the second opinion, especially after reading back over your posts and adventures so far.
