Well, it looks like Disney has just about completed their work on the formerly great distributor. New York office: closed. Remaining jobs @ the division: 20. Film output going forward: three per year.

But here's the problem, Miramax hasn't been distributing small-scale world cinema like The Double Life of Veronique and Cinema Paradiso lately.
There Will Be Blood, Adventureland and No Country for Old Men aren't what you would call "the little film that could", most have well-known actors and directors behind them.
