I hope that these are good laptops as I've just bought one for my wife. I'm sure it will be as I've taken advice and read reviews, etc. :)

My wife has had one for 3 years or so and never had any problems with it. I'm not sure about battery life as she always has it connected to the mains. Its a Travelmate and the reason she bought it was because of the favourable comments from freinds and workmates who own Acers.

I have had my Aspire 5735 for around a year with absolutely no problems. You get alot for your money. Regards Rob

I have had an Acer Aspire 5720 for over 2 years and have had no trouble whatsoever. They are budget machines but you do get a lot for the money which makes them very tempting. As far as after sales is concerned I cannot comment as I have never had to use it.
