Getting tired of the wasted downs trying to run the ball. WE HAVE NO RUN
BLOCKING! Its not the rb's fault. Our run blocking has to be the worst in
NFL history. Why don't we just go the Ref and say we would like to decline
the down every time we want to run...It would be less painfull then
watching this crap.
Ah, don't be such a negative ninny!
To be honest, I don't think we run it enough. I get frustrated when the game is close or we are winning and we waste crucial drives trying to bomb it downfield and end up punting because of 3 incomplete passes in a row when we should try to control the clock and wear down the front 7.

It would be pretty cool if we went a game without a single running play.
It wouldn't hinder our chances to win, it would get in the heads of our opponent, and future opponents, and we'd be ALL OVER ESPN and NFLN
the more I think about it, the more I like it, this must happen

I no longer believe that. I think it is on LT, he just doesnt play the way he used to and no longer tries to hit the...
Look though a 1 or 2 yard is a bad play it is necessary, because if you go
a game without running the ball they can drop everyone into coverage and
LB's can drop quick, so play action goes out the window, no matter how bad
the running game is the LB's are never taught to drop immediatly, so as
long as you run it you can freeze LB's on play action

Because apparantly our OL can't run block. It probably wouldn't matter who the RB is right now. They just can't seem to be able to do it, so far.
The only conclusion to make at this point is Norv doesn't really care about running -- it's all just lip service.
He has to be running that same formation and same ineffective LT run up the middle, over and over again, simply to set up the passing game with play-action and/or misdirection later in the game.

Time to add the RB of the future in the offseason.

Bombs away, man did I like seeing the Chargers air it out. There is no room in the NFL for the meek, it is time to embrace our strengths and go for broke.

With the exception of the Oakland game there really haven't been any holes to get through. I agree that Tomlinson looks slower, but before totally throwing in his towel, I'd like to see them run out of three and/or four wides to see if that helps. Our...
