Ok, so I currently have an Acoustic Solutions 26" 720p HDTV which I've had for about 2 and a half years. It's done the job and it was a major improvement over my old SDTV. I'm just wondering whether or not it would be worth me upgrading to a 32" TV and a better make? If I did would it be worth investing in a 1080p model or would the size of the TV be too small to appreciate the ...
Remembering its only an opinion... I would say unless you are willing to go up to a 42" screen 1080p really isnt needed, unless you are a perfectionist!! All being said and done, I personally own a Sony Bravia and have never been happier with my choice, I can also recommend the particular Samsung you have chosen, as I have a friend who has just upgraded to this model....

Thanks for the input guys. I probably won't go for a 1080p TV. What I really want to know is, would I see a big change in going from my current TV to a new Sony or Samsung etc? Is the contrast ratio the main thing to look at? I think I remember my current TV is like 1000:1.
Regardless of screen size, I'd say go for 1080p if you watch a lot of Blu-ray's. If you mostly play games, 720p will be fine. If it's 50-50, well... you'll have to decide what's best for you! EDIT: Oh, and you probably will notice a difference going from 'lesser' to a 'known' brand. Sony or Samsung tend to offer the best image if you're going for LCD, because (at least last time I ...
I agree, dont let anyone tell you 1080p isn't worth it especially for Blu-rays. I went from a 26" Samsung Series 5 720p to a 32" Samsung Series 6 1080p and the difference was very noticable. And yes it's true Samsung make there own panels and Sony buys them from Samsung, althrough it was rumored a while ago that Sony would start sourcing panels from Sharp, but I dont think it ever ...
