I just finished an overclocking utility using the new AMD ADL API and wanted to get some feedback. Since most of the people who are interested would come here I thought it might be a good place to post.

Looks nice. Do you happen to know what are the exact libraries needed? I would rather not go on installing every single qt lib. and just get what's really needed. Oh, and it refuses to extract with GNOME's File Roller for some reason.

I also had this problem trying to extract it from the command line, with both the 32 and 64 bit.
tar zxvf atioc_x86_64.tar.gz
gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: ...

Well turns out this filedropper site somehow alter the file, because the file I sent works with tar but when I downloaded it again it no longer works with tar, however it still works with Ark. Will post new link to unarchived file, which does ...

I like to try that utility, but:
1. It seg faults under Arch 64-bit under kde 4.2.3, with all the QT libs installed.
2. Where are the sourcecode?
Do you know which catalyst version you are using and which gpu? Could you post a stack trace? As for the code was thinking of putting it up once it's ...

I fixed a few bugs and added a ksysguard daemon that can be used to monitor your rendering farm. I would perhaps like to port and integrate furmark, otherwise maybe try to come up with some burn algorithm in opencl and integrate that instead. I will release the source once either the adl...

Last time I checked only r6xx/r7xx cards were supported by Overdrive. People with other cards should see if they can even use Overdrive (use the aticonfig --od options for the driver); I'm betting that if you can't, you can't use this either. Edit: Memory overclocking doesn't seem to work with the last version; I can make the changes in the GUI and apply them, but Overdrive and PTS still report the same memory clocks. The...

Flickering for 4850/4870 in Windows is associated with Memory Frequency changes. BTW, I'm with the latest version and the lowest I can go on my memory is the stock 900MHz. Is it possible to go lower?
Good point. The public ADL SDK license was based on the license for a different, "private" SDK, but it carried over the (now un-necessary) wording which prohibited source code release. We need to fix that.

Thank you very much for producing this tool, it helps me quite a lot keeping my machine from freezing while running a 3D-application. Running it now in opensuse 11.1 with 2.6.27.25-0.1 kernel. catalyst 9.7 installed from generated rpm. Controlling an HD4870, the GPU is currently running @300Mhz and ram @ 500Mhz. Fan speed is not being reported correctly (5000%) giving errormessage in the shell. ("Error reading fan speed...
