Thread: AR10 upper question - Page 2 - Calguns.net

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by glw12345
Finally got to the range this afternoon. Working on breaking in the barrel. I'm using some American Eagle 168G OTM 7.62x51 ammo. Fired the first 3 shots @100 YDS. One on paper then adjusted the sights. Less than 3/4". The scope is Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5x16x42.

Just wait until you put some match ammo through that thing, or even do some reloading. OOhhh, then lets see another range report. Got to start somewhere though, and glad you finally got to try the rifle out. What are your overall impressions of your complete Noveske?

What do think I'm gonna suggest??? Noveske family: N6 18": N6 16": All Noveske with exception of the lower on the Afghan. It's a Colt RAW lower. As far as the N6s, I've had best luck with the 16" N6. With the Leop LRT from the 18" on it, the 16" rifle displays a strong tendency to put 5 rounds into one hole.

Skketter So far, I love the rifle. I'm having a great time breaking in the rifle. I’m following Armalite's break-in procedure. (1 shot/1clean for 9 rounds, next 10-30 shots/clean every 5). After the break-in period, I plan to switch to the Black Hills Gold 7.62x51 168 Gr OTM to see what this ammo will do. Cheaper than Dirt has some Lake City M118 175 Gr Sierra HPBT ammo I might try as well.

Noveske upper, or if you want to build your own you might want to consider Krieger barrels.
