Thread: AFM Compatible Issue

> I have the 5.3L with the Active Fuel Management in my 2007 Sierra SLT. Are there any draw backs due to the fuel system.. Heck, is it even advisable to put a supercharger on a vehicle with AFM.? I do know I had to remove an aftermarket exhaust system because the drone was so bad when it dropped to four cyclinder mode.. Does anyone know of an exhaust system that does work with AFM.?

Basically since superchargers work on vacuum, when you are just driving around on four banger mode the supercharger is not doing anything and your truck will act and feel like stock. Once you start to drive more aggressive your AFM will activate all cylinders and you will then go from vacuum to boost and that is when the supercharger kicks in.
