There was somebody who mentioned Popeye and Tom and Jerry. Bluto deserves to get beaten up because he tried to have his way with Olive and Tom and Jerry are a cat and mouse and these 2 speicies hate each other because cats eat mice. These make sense for the violence. I'm not for violence but at least there were reasons for these cartoons to have violence. Family Guy doesn't and that is why the abuse is not funny.
