Thread: 954 throttle bodies in 929 can anyone help me

Hey I would like to know is this a straight bolt up or do I have to do anything else to make this work if anybody has done this please let me know what advantages it will give me. any performance gains etc. And what else can I use from a 954 that might give the 929 a better feel besides a motor swap I'm looking forward to doing everything during the rainy season

Im not an expert in either of these bikes, but was reading about both and looking into the specs and seems to me that the performance of both are very similar +/- 3 Nm torque and +/- 1hp at the crank..... sounds like quite the project you are undertaking for not much gain .... but i could be wrong?? Someone enlighten me lol

i stand corrected.... got specs off of random sites... thats why i said i could be wrong because the credibility of the sites is unknown.... dynos are power to the wheels not power made by the engine itself, obviously theres some losses in the train, i think the sites were stating engine power( not wheel hp) could that be the case??

Hey bladeracer so your saying all that I'm looking is just a simple bolt on no modification needed to run those throttle bodies what about the airbox will I have to use the 954 or will I be ok with the 929

The throttle bodies are virtually identical except that they are 40mm and 42mm bores. The 954 ...

I used the 954 injection harness it came complete with the throttle bodies
