94 z28 4l60e I have a 1994 z28 camaro I just had new clutches and band put in so all the transmission fluid was drain I installed it and added new fluid it wont shift in to gear when I try to put it in gear the motor idles down like it going in gear but nothing else happens. The converter is spinning freely don't understand it. When i pulled it to put the new clutches and band in it went in to gear fine but now I don't know.

I did unhook the lines and started the car there was no fluid coming out sh!t. Does that really mean the pump is broke? Could there be another explanation? I did not fill the TC up I put maybe a quirt of TF in.

I had the engine out and bolted the TC to the flexplate first then slid the Trans on.

The correct way to install the trans is to fully seat the converter in the trans and then bolt the trans to the engine.
