Can this board help me with the proper color code for the blue 908,and the red accents.Much appreciated. Raj

Just to throw a wrench into it... I'm doing a Gulf blue and orange 914GT. i did some research into the original Gulf cars and discovered they were actually painted in England after JW took delivery, so its not likely they are pained Porsche colors. This makes sense since JW ran the sames colors on his GT40s long befor he signed a contract with Porsche. JW probably just sent the cars to a local ...

The proper colours for the 908's is really the blue and orange of the Gulf Oil Co. that sponsored the cars. Same colours as the Gulf Fords. See this link for the history and details of the paints: http://www.gt40gulfliverycars.com/thecars.html How close the powder blue matches either of the Porsche Gulf blues would need to be decided by painting sample panels with each formula.
