I would like to be told how off these ultrasounds can be. Willow, most places say the major weight gain (the 1/2 lb a week) occurs during the 30-35 wks marks (some say a little later), then slows down until delivery...

Depends... they estimate a third of a pound a week in the last month. But that's an average, some are more, some are less....
BUT the u/s weights are not 100% either.

i was sent for an ultra sound by one of the other doctor's at my ob's practice when i was 31 weeks. when my dr saw the results she said he was in a high percentile, an estimated 5.5 lbs, but i shouldn't worry because ultra sounds can be off by a pound or two. i am now 37 weeks, and he is still measuring big, but my dr says there is nothing to be concerned about. hang in there, i'm sure your ...
Willow, it can be off by at least a pound in either direction. It can also be tech dependent....I have had 2 different people scan me on the same day and they differed by over half a pound... I wouldn't worry too much. Also, as other people have said, she could have just had a big growth spurt and you happened to get measured right after that...
