Manual? What the hell is a manual? Is that like a book? I hate books. Gadget Helpline, a UK tech support service, found that well over half of their male customers didn't even bother to read the manual before calling tech support. C'mon guys, is that the best we can do? Apparently, only 24% of females don't read the manual before picking up the phone. Good on you, ladies. Apparently ...

Most of our vendors of our machines quit producing printed manuals, and now they give the end users a "quick start" guide and put everything else on a CD in PDF format. All of my service manuals went to PDF over 11 years ago. I prefer them in electronic format anyway, MUCH easier to find something, plus you can edit, highlight and make notes in PDF's.
