Before you get started building your online business, gear yourself up mentally. There will be challenges ahead! With the proper approach, however, these challenges will be exciting, stimulating learning opportunities. Understand the fact that starting your own business requires work and you may need to sacrifice a little bit.

Have a backup plan. Maybe read some of Seth Godin's books. I haven't read his Purple Cow book but it's on my list
