From the 411 Wrestling Page: Quote: - According to a memo sent out to people in the cable industry, WWE is planning to raise the price of their non-WrestleMania PPVs. The increase will be a $5.00 increase to $44.95. Also in the memo is the confirmation that the will be dropping one of the June PPVs, and scaling back to 13 PPVs a year. - The PPV price increase will begin with the...

Boo. My group of friends stopped getting every show after the last price increase. We only do the Big Four now. We may possibly downgrade to just The Rumble and Wrestlemania. Higher cost + less cool shit happening at PPVs = me chipping in for fewer shows.

Well... Looks like it's just Royal Rumble and Mania for us

over here in my country we pay wwe ppvs 20 euros ('round 24 dollars I think) on first day airing and then roughly 15 for the rest of the weekly replays. and I thought THAT was too much...

So much for ordering ppvs anymore.

not being a yankee I really can't judge you guys but no way I'd pay that kind of money to watch cena/orton again and again. though if thsi was 1990 I'd probably shell out 50 bucks 4 times a year.

Way too much repetitiveness. They take 2-3-4 guys who are feuding and put them in some sort of match on 3 or 4 PPVs in a row. They try to add gimmick after gimmick to the matches to ...

I think it was a cool to have monthly ppvs back in '96/'97. remember IN YOUR HOUSE? bret vs bulldog in a bloody classic diesel vs hbk in a no dq match diesel & hbk vs yoko & bulldog diesel vs sycho sid hart foundation vs austin/goldust/lod/shamrock hbk vs taker hitc now those were worth big money.

I coulda swore it was already $44.95. Oh well, not going to change anything for me. If a shows worth my money, I get it. If not, I don't. With Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania being the exception. I always get those. I actually wish they would do some sort of yearly deal where you could save a hundred bucks or so by just pre-ordering every pay per view for the year. I'd be on that in...

how much does it cost the complete monthly 24/7 package in the US?

Penguin replied 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Wouldn't know, my provider still won't carry the damn thing. Bastards.

In the US there are many different companies to get TV from. The one I have, Dish Network, carries the WWE ppvs but not WWE 24/7.

My interest as dropped heavily in regards to the product of the wwe already. This is just another nail in the coffin. I will admit that Survivor Series is coming off as very promising, however.

My problem isn't so much the reusing of the same 3-4 guys in the main event as it is the lack of any real story development between PPVs. Its just the motions of match, rematch, second rematch, stipulation, then "cooler" stipulation. Back in '98, the upper card was usually some combination of Austin, Taker, Kane, Foley, and later Rock. But back then there was actual story line progression and what happened on one PPV would...

I've been watching wrestling for over 20 years (ouch) and I can honestly say I've never personally ordered a PPV. I remember about 6-7 of us chipping in a few dollars for Starcade (Sting vs Hogan) but beyond that, I can't really remember even sharing the cost of a ppv.
