Thread: 40 smells AWFUL!!!

No dead animals. I had the fuel tank acid washed and coated so the tank itself is in good shape.

How exactly it smells helps point to what it might be so more description would help. Is it burnt? Slightly sweet? Is there a flowery bouquet at the end with subtle fruity overtones? I think you get the idea. Does the smell get stronger at any point? Amaurer: the smell is...corporate drudgery?

How do you describe a smell like that? Hmmmm. Let me try. A strong sour gassy odor.

sour like maybe coolant is mixing w/the fuel? sour like battery acid and fuel? oil and fuel? gear oil and fuel? cat piss and fuel?? there are really only so many combinations.... and now im really curious as to what those combinations are...

I have no idea. I am going to take to my Toyota/Lexus mechanic.

Maybe your running rich. What carb do you have on it? When was it rebuilt?
