I think it helped a bit last time to make sure the temperature was nice and toasty (but not so hot to create bacteria soup of course). Also, keeping the pH steady and maybe up just a little bit (6.8 - 7? . . . I think pH Stable was used) helped too if I remember correctly. t

It looks like it is about 80 degres in there now Also, I tossed in three live plants yesterday afternoon....

Yes, some buggies might have found things to eat and survived. The plants actually compete for the ammonia so it can mean a smaller colony. However, as along as the plants remain then that it okay. t

Did a partial water change (~30%) at 9:00 AM. 1.5 mL Stability added. These results just in! 0.5 ppm Ammonia 5 ppm Nitrates 0 ppm Nitrites 7.2 pH

Added 0.2 mL ammonia to the tank for the weekend. Here are the results ... 2.0 ppm Ammonia 5 ppm Nitrates 0.25 ppm Nitrites 6.0 pH (!!)
