I've got a Macbook and going to get a Mini. They'll be just myself and the missus wanting to log onto either or both. With both machines permanently on our network. (Macbook wireless, Mini hard-wired) Rather than having a separate local accounts on each machine, is there a way of having a single networked account? And hopefully with that, consistent desktop's, settings and the...

You'd need to have server software running (Leopard Server) to have network user accounts, I would think. Best bet is just to use Migration Assistant when you get the Mini to copy everything from the Macbook, including both user accounts. Then both will be the same. Does it really matter if both machines have different backdrops, settings etc? As long as you both have access and all ...

You'd need to have server software running (Leopard Server) to have network user accounts, I would think.
