Thread: 29 inches of pure awesomeness.

After several rides on Kosmo's Sultan, I was convinced that I needed to dump my 26er and graduate to big wheels. There were a couple of other brands I was considering, but not that I had a chance to test-ride. This '09 XL frame w/ XT FD came up on eBay, and I knew she would be mine. (The front triangle was actually a warranty replacement, with full upper taco weld and cable guides, never built...

I finished up the build in time for a break in the Gorge weather today, and rode The Syncline and Coyote Cliffs with a couple of local buddies. The bike worked fantastic, and I expect this will keep me happy as my sole off-road ride for the next few years, at least. Here are some shots of the completed build.

Nice lookin bike. Syncline sure is a nice place to ride. Whats going on with Coyote Canyon? Has it been closed yet?

Please stop with the niner love, eh? My resistance is already weakening on the DWL stuff, which is only justified by swapping parts over. Hmmm, maybe the kids can earn scholarships.

I was just thinking about you and if you had gotten her together this weekend as planned..Didn't see anything over @ the 2-9-forum and than thought "Turner forum?" Looks great my friend congrats and enjoy...CF.
