Thread: 22re rough idle/ stutter

The truck just started stuttering at low rpms and missing at idle. I went ahead and put new plugs in it as well as a new cap and rotor. The wires are almost new. I also put a new 02 sensor in it. I swapped out the coolant temp sensors for another set and also switched out the MAF. It still stutters. The thing I wondered is that it runs better with the 02 sensor unplugged, the miss is almost gone....

It's worse cold, i've also swapped out the cold start injector. Post Extras:

I would test your TPS, checking your idle speed is almost useless if the TPS is bad or out of adjustment. Disconnecting the TPS put the car in "limp mode" and it will continue to run. If there is no differenc it could be ignoring the TPS or the signal coming from it could be telling the engine to run in cold start, or never give more fuel than coast speed. I would test your TPS, checking your idle speed is almost useless if the TPS is bad or out of adjustment. Disconnecting the TPS put the car in "limp mode" and it will continue to run. If there is no differenc it could be ignoring the TPS or the signal coming from it could be telling the engine to run in cold start, or never give more fuel than coast speed.
