Thread: 223 offenhauser

A question for someone that knows?. Ive got a '57 f-100 w/a 223 & the fordomatic... Offenhauser with two, or three?. And then which 2 or 3 ???. I need to know, so I can get started. Thanks,JJ

I can't say for sure but I'm working on a 223 and thought I'd go with the 3 because the setup is similar to stock with the center carb being used as normal and then the other 2 kicking in with a progressive linkage. 3 looks a bit cooler too. I don't have mine done yet so I can't say how it will work but hope to know this spring. Brad

I am running a dual Offenhauser intake with 2 Barry Grant Demon 98 carbs on my 223 (1964 cylinder head) and runs like a bat outta heck. Just be careful that your engine can handle the extra fuel and make sure you get the correct intake for the correct year cylinder head cuz the earlier you go the smaller the intake ports get Heres a picture of the engine with the Holley 94's to give you an ...
