Thread: 2010 - The year of the Cyclemotor - will you be coming out to play?

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by petercrowder

With a bit of fettling and a few well placed wishes, a Cyclemotor can tread ...

Have looked into hiring a small van to get my 25cc Cyclemaster from Derby to Hartlepool, and have arranged with family for them to drive it for the weekend, providing backup and support for the run itself. The cost of the van looks like being £105 plus diesel for the weekend and one nights B&B. I think the evening at Alston will be good, also giving me time to catchup should I get delayed on ...

Hi Peter etc As you know i done the C2C on what turned out to be an ultra reliable and comfortable NVT easyrider this year, still not convinced that the cyclemotor is a must have thing.O K if tuned and multi geared and with back up.Like your idea of getting more cyclemotors out there and would like to see a weekend event for these machines may be at the national ? or may be a new event ...

Ooh, I like the Power Pak Watto! Had it coughing yet? Great to hear you'll be out on the CTC again next year and staying-over in St Bees on the Sunday night... I like the idea of a weekend event for Cyclemotors. I'm always close to the back on club runs, and a gentle, giggly pootle along with a throng of Cyclemotors is my idea of heaven... My sister, Gill will be in persuit with a load...

Don`t worry about the weather on next years CTC Run. After consulting Paul Hudson, a pine cone, and a piece of dry seaweed, I can confidently predict that the weekend of the 19th/20th of June 2010 will be warm dry and sunny. There may be the odd cloud about, a bit of early morning mist, the chance of an odd shower or two that may last a day or so, a gentle cooling breeze for fevered brows, ...

Hi Grumpy, Seems that you have found that rarest of all beasts, a reliable Villiers engine d machine, never. When I were just a fit young llad my first experience of motorcycling at the tender age of 16 was with a 1952 Sun Hornet fitted with a Villiers 1F engine unit. I used the bike to commute to my job each day, a journey of five miles, and it was a very economical bike to run. And run...

Dates for youR 2010 diary -repsac Thanks for those. That gives me a good four months to beg, borrow or err otherwise acquire a moped. Colin gave a way the Medody to his sister "darn sarf" so that's out. I sometimes think about buying one but after a quick lie down I feel better.
