Thread: 2009 Heisman Trophy Discussion

Started 3 months, 2 weeks ago by wvfan14
2009 Heisman Trophy Discussion With Bradford's chances for the Tropy race hurting bad now, it seems like Tebow and McCoy are the main front-runners. If Oklahoma can recover without Bradford, run the table, and Bradford can just dominate when he returns, he can turn some voters his way again. Who are everybody's favorites and suprises ...

It's going to be Tebow or Colt, barring a 2000-yard rusher who also has a good amount of receiving yards. I think Colt will get enough sympathy votes this year to win it. __________________ Oklahoma Sooners | Oklahoma City Thunder | Liverpool F.C.

No matter what the Cal Athletic Dept keeps toting-Best is not a Heisman contender. Technically the Heisman winner carries the team-and with this rejuvinated passing game from Riley, we didnt really use him in the game against Maryland. Christ, he only had 10 carries during the game and if you think about the 137yds he got, he had a 73yd td run, and that was pretty much it. He and Vereen ...

Dez Bryant I know, he only had 3 catches for 77 yards against Georgia. But 2 of those receptions were TD's in a very tight defensive game. If he can put up better numbers than last year (87 catches, 1480 yds, 19 td), and adds a few special teams TD's, is it possible he could make it to the top 3? Of course, this is assuming OSU has a stellar season and does not drop 4 games. I'd...

I really hate when the Heisman is even discussed before November because I am tired of the pimping of Tebow, McCoy, and Bradford even before the season begins. I don't have any idea what things will look like in a few months, but there are a couple guys with gold helmets that had big games on Saturday. __________________ DickRod

OSU would probably have to go undefeated as well, but that may not even be enough for either Bryant or Robinson to overtake Colt or Tebow, in hype, anyway. __________________ Oklahoma Sooners | Oklahoma City Thunder | Liverpool F.C.

This is pretty much how I feel, as well. It's hard enough for someone that isn't a QB to win the Heisman. But ...

This award is a joke.

After this week, Dan LeFevour is out of the picture for sure, barring a miracle.

Guys the award was already given to Kyle Reed of SJSU. This thread is pointless........
