Next season’s CONCACAF Champions League to begin last week of July
The Group Stage, which the Crew will be competing in, will start a month earlier next year. That ought to spread the matches out just a little bit more, and it also should allow teams to focus just a little bit more on the CCL before the MLS ...
Not saying that he will be head coach next year or anything, but I want to
say that Polska Bob played in some UEFA club ties in his day. Maybe he can
bring that mental aspect to playing in such a tournament. I say mental
because as we've seen this year, the MLS sides were gassed out.
Some of the teams are starting to take shape for next year's CCL. We now know two of the Mexican teams thanks to the Apertura semifinals this past weekend. We also know one of the 2 teams from Panama, which interestingly is one of the few teams we've played in Concacaf competition before. (We defeated Arabe Unido in the 2003 Concacaf Champions Cup.)
USA: Columbus, Houston, New York, DC ...
In terms of tickets I am sure this will be handled completely separate from MLS or season tickets. This is a CONCACAF tournament so even the advertisements around the stadiums will probably change when games are played.

The on-field signboards will change, but all other stadium...
Did DC win USOC to get into the CCL?
You'd think Chicago should have gotten one of those spots.
Of course, I'm guessing SUM is pretty happy to still get Chicago, Chivas, and NE for the Superliga.

Correct. The 4 spots are:
MLS Cup winner, Supporters Shield winner, MLS Cup runner-up, and USOC winner.
If Columbus and Houston would've met in the final, Chicago would've been the next team into the tournament.

Re: 2009 Concacaf Champions League update That was 7 different kinds of WOW right there. Max is right, though, I think Atlante just pissed Barca off. And whoever had the 7th minute on the first card wins.

Bit of a stunner with Pachuca, though it was away. We knocked Unido out in the 2003 edition, before getting hammered by Morelia (Mex). Not that it really matters, but Columbus, PRI, Cruz Azul and Saprissa are Group C. www.concacafchampions.com

Guess I'll just plan on taking the day off now.
