Thread: 2008 kawasaki ninja 250 help? - Yahoo! Answers

I'm lookin into buying my first motorcycle and need some help. I'm about 6'2 and about 230 lbs and i don't want a higher powered bike cause im only 19 and don't want to high of insurance rates. Would this bike to small for a guy my size or should i not even bother lookin at this bike. The bike would b only used to drive from place to place and don't plan on going fast only the speed limit...

That bike will be just fine for you. Don't get a CBR 125 though as that would be a little TOO small. 250s were sold out when i got my bike so I got an FZ6. I wish someone would make a 400cc streetbike................

Im 6'1" and 250 lbs and looked a little ridiculous on my 07 ninja 250. The 08 redesign gave it a bigger look, so you should be ok. Dont be scared of the ninja 500 though. It is more appropriate for a guy your size and the insurance isnt that bad.

If you're doing mostly city riding it should be perfect. More highway riding then I would look at the ninja 500 or Gs500 but they are not nearly as good looking. Also, you may say that you will go the speed limit now, but trust me you won't. =)
