ive got my eye on a 05 chevy 2500hd duramax. got it looked at today nd my mechanic said its pretty clean. has a edge performance chip/dash monitor. k&n intake, 20's. has the allison tranny. its got 85,000 miles on it. has a 5th wheel hitch so i assume its been used to do some towin
price is 15000 on it. up here temps ...
The 05's had some issues with overheating. Not all had the problem but many did. There are plenty of things that can be done to help this, most were getting more air through the radiator. Other than that they were pretty bulletproof. I traded mine in on an 08 when it had 80K miles and I never had any problems with it. In the cold it always started right up and ran great.

Something odd about that deal. 05's with 100K miles are doing $20K or more online everywhere....unless this thing is pink with 14" tires and burlap interior I'd really be careful. Check the title for salvage/rebuilt and try to get the history on it from a GM dealer. While there is a chance it's just a great deal...I'd be suspicious.
good luck
im in sioux falls. ya i checked online and they seem to go for around 20k around here as well. i dont remember the milage on those tho. i am suspicious. it does have aftermarket 20's for rims nd needs new tires but that doesnt seem to indicate a 5k dollar price different. what do they usually get for mpg? i drove it for about 30 min nd was kinda usin a lead foot nd prolly a lil hard on the ...

What configuration is this truck?
It would be understandable (the price) if this truck isn't very desirable (reg cab, 2wd, etc).
2wd trucks don't have much sale value in the upper midwest.

Remove all Advertisements haha ya im aware that that is the reason for the price. but their prices have been pretty high on there nicer vehicles like this one lately. not all but alot of them. this just may be my luck of the draw nd be a good deal!
