It has a PC pipe and shorty, vforce reed cage, I just rebuilt the whole engine with a hotrod crank, main brgs, niks pro x piston, cleaned all powervalve stuff, put back together jetted the bike based off of messing with it, ...

You are way lean on that puppy for this time of year. Unless you are about 4500 ft ASL. Probably a 172 main and a 50 pilot will give you something to talk about. Also set the powervalve according to the book specs. Its non adjustable.

Well I dont have a book and I cant find where the powervalve adjuster is supposed to be, all I have found is people on the net messing with theres turning it in and out for more top and bottom end, etc. I have never had a bike where I messed with this or ever felt I had to. I will try to richen it back up, my plugs still look a little dark tan even with it getting colder, and I am a expert ...

Yeah reed spacer didnt do anything I could tell, I just got that pipe cause I got a deal on it, and I have the Pro circuit 304 shorty silencer, It did have a FMF factory fatty pipe and stock silencer, I cant really tell any difference between those 2 setups besides sound for me, I wish I had a stock pipe to put on it but I dont. I will adjust that and change my jetting and see what ...

Yes ,,Jet it right.. ,Low rpm,and high rpm.....It takes a lot of time, but it's worth it....go for it....I took off My gas tank, and seat off so many times, I can do it blind folded...The roll-on power is there ,all You have to do is squeeze it out of it.......Remember Jet it first, and then do all the other crap later........good luck........Dr.D................

Well I have the stock pilot and 170 main so I am going to put those in it and also put the needle clip down 1 where stock is and see what happens, maybe on these rm's the plugs dont tell the story, thats all I can think. I am going to be racing alot of arenacross this winter since you can race them again in AMA AX, and I want to see how close I can come to making a main on my 2-banger, but ...

You mean to tell Me that You can't warm-up Your bike before You race.?......that Sucks.....My 04 just flutters until it warms up,,,,then it's perfect....Start's would be hard I bet....Maybe wrap an electric blanket around it ,,before the race........Just Kidding......good luck ........Dr.D.........

Well yeah of course I can start it for a minute or so and let it warm up, but it seems to bog down low initially till I ride it for at least several minutes till it gets pretty warmed up. I have never ever had a bike be this picky about jetting etc, its frustrating, and I have had 3 Rm250's, 2 YZ's and a KX, all my other bikes ran fine with stock jetting or close to it, just like a needle ...

Remove all Advertisements Put all the jetting back and bike still bogs I didnt actually go riding but worked on it at work(haha) and let it warm up for several minutes and rode it around the praking lot a bunch and when I let it idle all the way down and try to grab a handful major major bog, I think it might be worse with the richer jetting I put in ...

I didn't have that problem when I put the hotrod crank in mine, it was really smooth. put a 50 and a 175 main and see what happens.
