I'm doing some research on the chassis number that is stamped into the dash frame, hidden beneath the right knee pad, on 1969 912's. It is located below the radio. The same number is also found written in grease pencil on the top side of the dash frame in the left hand corner hidden under the dash cover. Earlier this number would have been the VIN, but in 1969 it became a production number. I'd like to get a few pairs of VIN...
