Can't find front disk brake hoses for my 63 C20 I am installing a 72 C20 front crossmember into my 63, and for the life of me cant find the factory front disk brake hoses. All they list is the rear one. 68-71 are listed but nothing for the 3/4 ton. An idea what a good crossover number would be from another vehicle? I considered ...

Re: Can't find front disk brake hoses for my 63 C20 I have a set of brand new 72 3/4 ton hoses hanging on the wall of my shop. I bought them last year for my work truck then sold the truck before I ever put them on. Send me a PM if you're interested. __________________ Kevin - ...

Re: Thermostat Bypass Housing Help Time to upgrade to an aftermarket intake, good used ones are really cheap. Can't you lift the housing off over that bolt, exposing the rest of it? If it won't come out, just weld a stud to it, and grind it enuff to slide back down and use a nut and washer?

Re: Do I need to remove the gas tank? I had to replace mine ages ago on my 62, and If I remember, I had to cut the dang clamps with a heavy pair of dikes, cant use any driven wheel cutters or it would go boom. Yes a heavy string or rope just like doin a windshield.

Looks neat. You could get a set of chrome-amber bulbs for that, and then it'd be even more clear when you aren't using the signals.

I believe there's less than an inch space between the two Reid. I would go with the Velcro also.

The easy old school way of making gaskets is to pull the part, and get it cleaned up. Place the gasket surface facing you and lay a piece of gasket material over it. Then gently tap all around the edges (inside and out) with a ball peen hammer. It will cut a perfectly fitted gasket in no time. I also learned back in the 50's if no gasket material is available, you can substitute single ply cardboard - like a cereal box, or the box a valve...

Me neither, just wondered. I thought I saw one in a manual once that was dash mounted. To tell the truth, that MAY have been where a factory clock was...either way, they look good.
