Thread: 12 volt battery for PPC

Started 3 months, 1 week ago by texasbagpiper
Where do you get a replacement battery and what is the best one? When I go to start my machine when I turn the key the starter slowly turns and then goes faster and faster and finally fires up. When I put the battery charger on the machine for about 20 minutes it starts up right when I turn the key. Seth

Seth, In truth had I known of the Odyssey I'd have bought it. It's worth the few extra bucks as I read it. With my pull start available I could have waited . Next time for sure ! Rich K

All these small batteries and even large ones can benefit from a "battery maintainer". Like a trickle charger they are low rate at 1 or 2 amps max. Unlike a trickle charger however they taper off and then shut down to zero current flow when max charge voltage is reached. They can cost anywhere from $20 to $60, but are well worth the cost.

The Interstate battery, while a good battery, will not provide the same service as the Odyssey battery. http://www.odysseybatteries.com/battery/pc625.htm Baron
