Thread: 1000.2 and dish pro (not dish pro +)

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by saheisler
My current set up is a dish 500 with a dish pro (not dish pro +) head. From the head I have four cables running from the head to my first switch (only two of the four cables are being used). The switch is a SW 34. From this first SW34 I have two drops to my first receiver (soon to be my location for my new dual tuner VIP 722) Also from the SW 34 I run two cable ...

Do you mean DP34 switches?

hawker152 replied 1 month, 1 week ago
you wont need any switches bro. the 1000.2 has DPP tech which combines the two lines you've been using into one. therefore you can run your two 522's and your new 722 with one single 1000.2 LNB

He needs 3 separators but the 722k should come w/ one, so he will only need to buy 2.

If you call to upgrade the technician should give you the separators when he sets you up .

breaker1nine replied 1 month, 1 week ago
When the technician comes to do your upgrade, he will take care of it. Your switch will be gone when he leaves.

Ok so the separator is the one that goes in the back for the receiver right?? also the 1000.2 doesnt need any switch meaning i can run one of those outputs to the receiver and thats it!??

However, I do believe that should you ever need to use an external switch for the 1000.2, it must be the DPP44 (and possibly the DPP34).
