Thread: 09 Focus Tire Pressure Monitor Failure

Started 1 month ago by gommee
I get the message "Tire Pressure Monitor Failure" when starting my 2009 Focus. The warning light blinks and then stays on. Tire pressure has been checked. Is there a procedure to reset it? or recalibrate it? Is there a bigger underlying issue? Thank You

Rule of thumb for tire pressure monitering system if the light is on steady set tire pressure and drive over 30 mph. if the light flashes there is a problem and will have to be serviced.

Gommee, if you have a 2009, chances are you're still in warranty. Hop into the dealer for a check of the system! It *should* be covered if you're still in your miles....

I am still nder warranty, but my dealer is a long ways away and it is a pain to go there for a small issue. I will get it looked at when I get my scheduled maintenance.
