'07 Touring with 18" MDX Wheels. The cure for PAX!
Replaced the PAX tire/wheel combo on our '07 Touring. Used the '07 Acura MDX Sport package wheels 18"X8". Tires are from an '07 Acura RDX, Michelin 235/55/18. The standard MDX tires are 255/55/18 which are too wide for the fenders on the Odyssey, some rubbing will occur, especially when fully loaded. Tire pressure sensors were also ...
And the total price of this setup comes to......?
Of coure I don't need the TPMS, but would like to upgrade rims when the OEM tires wear out. That setup looks very nice!
Agreed, a very attractive solution. Someone might want to send these photos to Honda. Normally I'd say they won't use Acura wheels on a Honda, but the Accord EX V6's wheels do strongly resemble those on the Gen2 TL Type-S...
Did you happen to try to use the Acura sensors before you replaced them with the Honda sensors? I have read somewhere before that the Acura ones worked. These wheels do look very nice on your Ody.
When I had my PAX wheel next to my Acura 17" RL wheel, I couldn't believe the difference in weight. The new wheel felt like it weighed half as much and that seriously translated to ...

The turn signal side marker also looks very clean. What kind did you use and how easy or difficult was that to install?
Ditto here... Please let us know what turn signal you've used (manufacturer/part#), as well as how it wired... looks clean, european-style. Was it from a BMW ?

Yes they will fit, but good luck finding a set. They are part of the "Advance" package that is an option on the '10 MDX. So chances are nobody will be swapping for different wheels, thus no take offs.

FALKEN ZIEX S/TZ 01 TIRES 235-55-18 235/55R18 Load Index: 109W They should fit my 18" Techs too... I searched and found there are quite a few 16" Falkens on Odys, but haven't seen many in the 18" variety. The load rating you show seems way too high, unless that is some sort of truck...
Re: Re: Re: Re: Issues with 18" wheels + 235/55R18 tires I checked around the tire/wheel areas and found no abnormal objects or anything loose. The tire center inflated the tires to about 40 psi (in the morning after the sun is up) since the max. pressure for the Kumho is 51 psi. I don't think I'm more "spirited" than before, in fact it can be opposite. What's the mileage you're getting now (as far as I...
I have had my new tires a couple of weeks now (I have 18" Tech rims with Nitto NT850 [235/55/18] tires); I am very satisfied with the excellent ride quality and sound, or lack thereof. As I researched and knew what to expect after depaxing, I took the time to 'appreciate' the ride quality of the pax prior to depaxing. Taking note to how the road felt and sounded over the roads I travel the most. I will objectively say the...

Re: de-PAXing questions TPMS Sensor # 06421-S3V-A04 from Honda is what you need. Order 4, and get them online...probably cheaper than the local dealer. quote: Originally posted by Mexicat Thanks for all your helpful info but I'm going to be a total girl and ask if someone could please clarify a bit more. I want to de-PAX my '05 Odyssey and I'm not sure exactly what I need to ask for from the Acura dealership. Are the new...
quote: Originally posted by Jerry O I'm sure you are right about the ride issue. Of course, I have pretty much gone into the stiff ride territory using 40 psi, most of the time. I wonder what pressure will give good wear with the 18s. Jerry O. Wow, if you're on 40psi on the 16's, 35psi on the 18's will feel just fine!
