Off to see Beyonce at the 02 on Sunday, and am clueless as to getting there. (And I drive 44tonne artics for a living.) Parking at the 02 is an option, but at £25 a car, (There are 2 cars in our party.) it's a last resort.
Anyone an idea as to where to park with good public transport?
Hi
I took my daughter to the O2 this sunday to see Disney Princess on ice. We had planned to park using free off street parking in London and tube to the O2, but forgot about it being poppy day and also got generally lost and were running so late that we had to drive straight to the O2, thinking that we would have to just pay the ridiculous prices, however one of the closest car parks (closer ...
Park at North Greenwich underground station, which is right beside The O2 and on a Sunday only costs £3 all day. It's just off the A2 once you're through the Blackwall Tunnel, or if you're coming from the M25, join the A2 and head towards London.
I know it's a Sunday, but get to the station car park early! It gets filled up very quickly in my experience. Last time I went it was lunchtime for an evening gig and it was "full" (but I managed to find 1 space woo hoo!).
Pls expect to take at least 1 hr to get out of the car park, if not more. And I would say you are very unlikely to get any space for a sold out concert on a Sunday. Where are you coming from ? In the middle of greenwich, right by cutty sark there is a small underground car park, dlr is 1 minute from there, easy to get to O2 via Canary Wharf. But generally I would recommend do not drive to the O2...

I parked at the 02 for sold out gigs on both Thursday and Friday night.
I managed to get a space at North Greenwich tube both times, although I was getting there between 3.30pm and 4pm.
You are able to pre-book the o2 parking until 5pm on the event day. It may be worth driving up with the intention of parking at North Greenwich and if there are no spaces then ring the o2 parking and park ...

thanks , had already left by the time I saw the message, but yes I had only to put my debit or credit card in the machine, nice easy parking in car park 1, very close and got out within 15 minutes and home in 30 minutes. Just got over swine flu, so couldn't walk far and it worked out all fine. Beyonce was great!
