Judged: 4 1 Western Reserve Hospital probably would employ more than 600. These jobs will be lost in Akron. The new hospital likely will get tax support from Summit County and the communities of Cuyahoga Falls, Hudson and Stow, which are partnering to try to land the full-service hospital at state Route 8 and Seasons Road.

Judged: 5 2 1 This is a money grab by for-profit health care providers. It's time to end the rocketing costs Americans pay for health care. It's time to enact HR676 - John Conyers (Mi) Health Care for All and make health care a right and not a priviledge. Go to: http://www.house.gov/conyers/news_hr676.shtml to find out more.

Judged: 3 3 1 When Obama wins and we all have medical insurance, what will AGMC's arguement be then? I'd suggest if all the department heads at AGMC are concerned about the financial health of their hospital, they all take a 25% pay cut. And if any patient of any of the doctors at the new for-profit hospital feel like they are being hospitalized just for their insurance ...

Judged: 5 3 2 I really like AGMC, but they seem to be "the pot calling the kettle black" in this article. They are flat out worried about the $$$ they will lose and if I am reading this right they are saying that the new Summit facility only cares about $$$??? Just sounds a bit rediculous. In the article it states that the new summit facility is not going to be turning down...

Judged: 3 3 2 This sounds alot like the Oriana House where five judges make profit off of sending people to the facility and use state funds to do it. The doctors will make money off of the hospital. They will find a way to get grants the same way AGMC and other are to keep the hospital going and make money off of tax payers just like the five judges are doing. Sounds like ...

Judged: 2 1 1 Boo hoo, someone might make some money *gasp* and then be able to pay people more money *shock* and then actually ATTRACT people and business to the area. Why would 600 people move to a new facility instead of staying where they are unless they're going to MAKE MORE MONEY? Why would a business move here unless it intends to MAKE MORE MONEY? Why is a non-profit, ...

Judged: 2 1 1 These won't be new jobs. There are lots of jobs available in healthcare now that the hospitals are having trouble filling. These "new" jobs would be filled by employees from other local hospitals. That's not real growth. We have throughout Summit County many empty hospital beds already. A new hospital is not needed. Especially one that requires taxpayer support.

Judged: 4 3 2 What is the problem??? Good question but the answer isn't pleasant. 600 more jobs sounds great but have you looked at Northeast Ohio and the people flocking to move here? It isn't happening. Those 600 jobs will just shift from the non-profits to the for-profit leaving yet another healthcare crisi. A shortage in key workers - Not enough nurses, radiology techs ...

Judged: 2 2 1 Kent strongly denied allegations that he and the other investing doctors will be motivated by profits when deciding where to send patients. ''That's ridiculous,'' he said.''Doctors don't do that. As physicians, the first thing truly is to take care of patients, period.'' So why are 120 docs buying into a hospital that they can refer patients to. The medical ...

Tests cost money and insurances already fight on that subject so...
