Two of my friends left two weeks ago to go to Israel for a month.... bad timing I suppose. Another two of my friends, left today at 6:00 for India to visit family as well. No offense to any Indians, but your country is a horrible horrible place. They've been getting vaccinated for weeks now, have special instructions on things like no drinking any water over there, no uncooked foods, etc. As well...

Last I heard we were planning on sending Chinooks from our bases in Iraq to pick up US civilians in Israel \ Lebanon.

Why did you IMod that post? I was simply stating we have over 1,000,000 active troops and Lebanon has only 75,000.

Doesn't matter about troop strength. Wars aren't fought man for man pound for pound anymore. A gorilla army of several hundred trained men can inflict massive casualties on an organized army and any civilian population.

I don't know about the US, but I haven't heard anything about emergency evacuations in Israel yet. I know we are evacuating Lebanon after 8 Canadians were killed

Alright, well what do you want us to say? That we hope your friends are alright? I don't. They shouldn't of gone to Israel. Even two weeks ago shit was hitting the fan with Hamas. Was it worth risking their lives to see the Western Wall?

Does anybody know what exactly the situation is between Lebanon and Israel? Why is Israel bombing them? Are they retaliating? Why are they attacking them :>
