I just noticed that my email program entitled Outlook has disappeared. Would like to access the address book there as I lost the address book on Outlook Express and would like to do some importing. I recently downloaded and installed the new MSOffice 2007 (free version) so whether that has had something to do with Outlook disappearing do not know. Can advise? Dell XPS400 ...

Office Outlook address book is located in the same folder where the documents are. To reach that folder: 1: Click My computer > tools > folder options > view. Check "show hidden files and folders" and click apply > OK. 2: Click "local disk c:" > documents and settings > user account > local settings > application data > Microsoft > outlook. That's where your address book is....

Please forgive me for asking: When you open Documents and Settings, what do you see? Are there no any accounts? not even "all users" and "default user"? By "user account" I meant the account that you use for everyday work. It can bear any name given during the installation of XP.

In fact Outlook email program has disappeared from my PC since I downloaded MSOfficed 2007. Or maybe it was just a coincidence but whatever - MS Outlook is no longer on my system seemingly and do not know why. I have a back up scan disc so will plug ...
