I'm curious about what it is that makes us stay with Windows Mobile devices...For me, I think its the hassle of having to rebuild my arsenal of applications in a different OS. But considering I did it once when I switched from Palm, I should be able to do it again, and with that sweet looking Blackberry Bold, I just might!

WM is basically horrible for a PDA-phone OS, particularly from a UI standpoint. It major positive points are: 1) its what comes with most of the best phone device/hardware available 2) it (roughly) has the underlying OS feature set needed for a PDA-phone (multi-tasking, multi-threaded, strong dev tools/community, somewhat stable, generally quite configurable/hackable/flexible)...

I hadn't even considered WM until I got the HTC touch. Quite honestly, it is the $7 unlimited internet on the phone that keeps me using it. If I didn't have that, I'd go to something else.

I came to WM from Blackberry when I became self-employed. I was spoiled on push email and wanted to maintain the feature but not the extra cost for BES hosting (typically $10 a month over and above Exchange hosting) and/or extra carrier charges for "Blackberry data" instead of "WM data". I assume the latter premium is a result of the royalties the carriers pay to RIM...not sure....
