Hi, I'm looking for a good "all-round" XC hardtail. I want XT / SRAM X.9-stuff and ofcourse hydralic discbrakes. I have around $2000 to spend, and its important, that the bike is availble in Europe. What do you think I should buy?

Visit the 29er forum and get some info on 29 inch wheels. If they suit you, it would be a shame not to have considered them. That said, finding a frame YOU like is the key. That's why the LBS is best. You actually try them first. Finally, there is no "best".
