Hey guys, as mentioned in the topic above, I really can't decide between which of the above should I get. Maybe I should explain my situation a bit first, to make things clearer for those who reply here. My name is Nicholas, and I am from Singapore. I will be leaving for the UK in September this year for further studies. The degree programme will last for 3 years. As I will not be able to ...

It is a pity for that Illuminated Keyboard, but i wouldn't doubt a second and go for the 1000$ cheaper Sager. It is more future proof, has a better warranty, and dang, 1000$ !!!

The huge differnce in price is because you are paying for AW's marketing campaign and flashy lights. 1) Well, obviously the Sager's a better deal. 2) Actually, Sager is generally concidered better quality than AW. 3) AW will have an int'l warranty if either of them does, but Sager is less likely to actually need to use it 4) See (3) 5) AW has one, Sager doesn't. If no lighted ...

Alienware m15x still running hot? I believe XoticPC will ship anywhere and the $1000 you save should cover a lot of warranty shipping which "knock on wood" you likely won't need. I believe the 1st year of warranty is thru Sager. Call XoticPC and ask those specific questions. They can give you the correct answers.

Though the previous gen of Alienware was better.

I'd rather have something made out of plastic that stays in one piece than something with a magnesium alloy frame that all too quickly comes apart and shows you the frame every time you look at it.

It might be better for you to make back ups of your stuff on a DVD and just get one when you move to the UK. I get your eagerness to get a new laptop, but it's better to get it from an european vendor. By the way, if you want you buy from a US vendor and need to fix it I think you have to send it to the US (Shipping costs are on you). Better just to be patient, back your stuff up, and check for the best deal in the UK, europe, or the US...

with all the problems people are reporting about the m15x , you would have to be insane to pay that extra ~1000 and still get it. i mean, can the np8660 possibly have more problems then the m15x? maybe, but unlikely with clevo's rep. atleast you save money. then again, you will be in the uk...iunno if the sager will be covered warranty wise in the uk altho shipping it over here wont be a problem, it will just take LONG.

ive been asking this over and over, whats this about being able to buy at Uk site and getting it shipped over? does alienware ship it over at an extra cost? if they do, do they ship to australia? and does the US store do it as well?
