according to ur budget I would suggest dv5t , dv4t , Macbook , Macbook Pro Lenovo T400 I believe they are all within your budget range even including 2-3 extended service plan. Just look into the laptop deal at deal section, there are coupons out there can save you some money.

I think only hp offers blue-ray ROM that might be not too expensive. Maybe Dell studios too, but it has been a while since I browse their studios line.

I like how the macbooks look and i was considering them i just didn't know how to configure it to what i need, yet i have no experience with the apple company. Do you have any idea how their customer service is? Also which one of these notebook computers would you personally recommend Santa-U2? Besides Dell studios what other computers would you recommend f4ding?

If you want to go with a Mac I would wait for their refresh, likely this fall sometime. Keep in mind if you want to play your sims games you are either going to buy mac compatible copies or install windows on the mac to run in bootcamp. Is TS2 included in playing sims games? I would not get the regular macbook for playing that game due to the integrated gpu and right now the dedicated ...

I would personally go with business class laptops, because they're usually 100% trouble free. For example the Lenovo T400 , or Dell E6400 , or HP 6930. They don't look beautiful, but they are very reliable. If you like beautiful laptops, the Sony 's and the Macs and the HPs consumer version look great. Try Sony FW (sonystyle.com).

I thought lenovo t400 had blue ray option. and yes, MBP can be annoying sometimes for the heating issues. ps. double checked, lenovo t400 does have an option for blue ray drive. about hp 's dv4t /dv5t, personally i have no problem with heat issues.

Business class laptops (T400/T500/T61/Dell E6400 /E6500) are usually better built and lasts longer than consumer class notebooks (Dell Studios).

Or even the M4400? These are beautiful (to me anyway, especially the E6500) and super-solid computer with a hell of a lot of performance. The E6500 & M4400 have a backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader (so do the M1530s), up to 8GB RAM, the...

I think the Lenovo T400 and T500 w/the ATI dedicated cards should be good for you. They do have a blu-ray drive available. The T500 would give you better performance in TS2, especially if you plan on installing a lot of the expansions and having a lot of custom content. Otherwise no reason the 3470 wouldn't work fine. I would not recommend the 6930 with the integrated graphics. The 3450 dedicated card would be inferior to both the...
