H'lo....   New to the forum here, hoping to get some information.  I'm in the market for a high-quality home desktop computer which will be used primarily for gaming, music, photographs, and microsoft office applicatons.  I would specifically want NO internet hardware or software on it, and also a major concern for me is the tons of advertisements that new computers seem to always come loaded ...

This Forum is for Dell customers to talk, with a Dell Moderator posting once in a while. No Dell salesmen here.  You won't get a PC from Dell like that.  You will have to uninstall what you don't want yourself.    Adding all the Bloatware (advertising) is what helps keep the costs down for them so they can sell you a PC at a lower cost to you.   All you have to do is look at the low Base...

Also Dell ships their systems with an OS disc, so you can just wipe the hard drive and reinstall with that with no extra junk on it. That's what I do regardless of whether there's any bloatware on it. Really Apple's hardware's about the only company that won't ship with any bloatware, aside from maybe a few massively overpriced boutique Windows PC makers. Dell doesn't stick as much stuff on as ...
