So.. I need a gaming desktop. That's bout it. This is my late late Christmas present, and well I don't wanna go overboard with the price. I don't have a monitor, or a keyboard. I have a mouse, but it get's really annoying with the battery always running out so I prefer to also get a new mouse. Oh and I need speakers. Well that's just bout it. A gaming desktop that ranges from 900-1400 dollars, a ...

Outlet machine's do not come with a monitor or speakers (unless noted), in order to stay within your budget you should look for something with a lesser graphics card (7900 GS) or the lowest graphics and then upgrade yourself. An XPS410 with Core2Duo 2.13 at the least. The machine in my sig came from the outlet for $819 then I upgraded the video, since I already had a monitor and speaker's I ...

Eh.. I don't know how to upgrade desktops.. I don't really know much about computers. Would the cheapest be to buy the other parts seperately though? EDIT : What's E6600? I only see Core2Duo - XXXX at the outlet.. Also, under the sound card.. if it is blank does that mean the sound is integrated or what? 2 EDIT : Can you upgrade the processor? I know it might be a stupid question but I'm ...

On a scale of 1-10 upgrading a video card is probably less than a 2. The E6600 is a Core 2 Duo 2400. If it's blank it's integrated sound. Yes, you can upgrade the processor as well. Shopping the outlet means taking what you can get, sometime's more than you were looking for. XPS410[refurb] Core2duo E6600 2gigs PC2 5300 250 g SATA Dual DVD eVGA7900 GTO Audigy 2 ZS ...

Well, unfortunately, the outlet has no refurbished Core 2 Duo - 2400's, or even 2140. So, I look up Core 2 Duo E6600ATX at the intel website, the cheapest one is $316.50. I did some math, and it would cost atleast $1050 if I bought a refurbished desktop and the Core 2 Duo E6600.. There's also the keyboard, mouse, sound card, speakers, (I am not sure if I need this along with the sound card), and ...

Unless you need the machine immediately, take a couple of days and watch the outlet, machine's come and go there.I've been able to pull three machine's like mine for $819 apiece, 2 of them with dual harddrives and 1 that had an E6400 with 1 gig of ram for $419. Keyboard and mouse are included. The rating for the video card describe's installation difficulty. XPS410[...
