RMS Transporter on Fly Truck Chassis | Thread profile

Just got home after a few weeks of business travel and did my husbandly chores (washed my dirty clothes)...Anyway, the RMS Transporter and a Fly race truck were waiting on my work bench... Since I first saw Dave's transporter I knew I wanted one as a slot car. Here is my progess thus far. With trusty saw in hand I destroyed a perfectly good Fly race truck chassis... I found the one I cut up on the Home Racing board pretty cheap. I can't afford the new stuff. Used and not to abused works for me..

Now why in heck would RMS make a Ford C-cab? That has to be the ugliest truck in the history of trucking. ANYTHING but a C! Ooops! Personal opinions getting the better of me. Carry on. Very nice work, everyone.

I think all opinions are welcome here Rob. As for why RMS chose the Ford, me thinks that alot of race teams used these as transporters here in the US and they were popular as fire trucks as well. A lot of teams even converted school buses into transporters too. Chet
