my friend is looking for the crypt key and done the battle of holdenfort and got the visions but still can't find the guards...any ideas?

Try suiciding, I went to the crypt and the guards fell off and i didnt get the key, so i just jumped off the ledge reloaded came back and could get into the crypt. So just try killing yourself and respawning see if they are there of you can get in /shrug.

You'll have to come back to it. I couldn't get in for the longest time either...I just went about doing everything else and saved it for last. You can't have Manslaughter without Laughter.

yeah you can only get the crypt key after there are guards there. The guards won't show up until you've pretty much done everything thing else on the island.

Yeah, you need to do the big main battle, and retake that huge town. Then you go back and they will be there.

he's right.. you have to do the battle first before getting the key. The reason why is there is something special in the crypt....that you can only have after you've won the battle... When life throws you lemons, make lemonade.
